I was in the hospital the other day when a water birth was performed. While I was there, I watched several nurses and doctors and a few midwives perform their roles. One of the nurses was a doctor and the other nurses were midwives. I saw them all get up, change what they were wearing and change what they were doing. They all seemed to know what they were doing, or most of them did. The doctor was the most self-aware.
I watched my doctor get dressed and get her hair and makeup done. Then she stood beside my chest as the midwife helped me get my gown on. For the first time in my life, I was having a heart attack. I was so scared that I didn’t try to push back. I was like a deer in headlights.
Even being the only person in a room with a midwife, the doctor or midwife, I could feel myself growing cold. I was terrified that I was about to die. It was at a point where I couldnt feel any warmth in the room, as I was being moved from one side to the other. I felt like every part of my body was going to shatter. The doctor looked as though she was dying too. She looked at me and I at her.
What to do? We need to save her. She’s pregnant, she needs a quick birth, and she needs us to be there.
This is a story about a hospital near me in Iowa that we have investigated. The doctors and nurses of this hospital are not only skilled in their field, they are also skilled at the art of caring for the dying. The doctors at this hospital have an extensive list of resources that they can take with them when they go. They are in the process of having a very special baby girl born, in a very special way.
The hospital is very special. We have many of the same medical professionals and nurses that we have here in the U.S. But in this hospital, they are extremely special. They have an amazing list of resources that they can take with them when they go. These are all things that we can do at home, and bring with us to the hospital.
I’m not sure that anyone here has any idea what this means, though. For instance, when I go to the hospital, I always take my wife, Bethany, and baby boy, Charlie, with me.
